African parent dramaπŸ˜‚

I had to share this funny, rather embarrassing story with you guys! Please help me laugh abeg.

You know little madam started school about six weeks ago. Anyway, two weeks ago, she brought her work sheets home, and I was grossly unhappy! This girl was getting 9/12, 9/13 etc. I made sure after school each day, she worked harder and harder! The geh will say she wanted to rest. Rest kwa??? With 9 upon 13??? Rest ko rest ni.πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜ Quickly, I sent her teacher a message asking what exactly she wished to see in her work. She told me, and I pushed this poor girl harder!

Hmmm… that’s how she brought her work last weekend o. Choi! 9/19, 9/21. Ha! 9 upon 21 ke?! I reject it in Jesus name! I called the teacher quickly to book a meeting! No child of mine is failing or embarrassing me, especially in obodo oyinbo!

Little madam had a play date with a girl in her class. Na so I was asking the mama if they scored her daughter. The woman said no  o. I got more upset! Mr.X too was pretty unhappy. Anyway, I sat him down, brought paper and pen out, to jot down questions I will ask madam teacher. ✍🏽

On Monday morning, during our family devotion, we prayed about the meeting, for favor, wisdom, the right words, and so on. I am sure God was shaking his head and having a good laugh!πŸ™ˆ

Anyway, I helped this teacher open her classroom because I got to school by 8 sharp! We sat down, I thanked her for such a great job πŸ˜†, and started my questions. She answered everything, and asked me why I was so worried. I wanted to scream! Why won’t I be worried with 9 upon 21???? Ha!πŸ™†πŸ½ That’s how the madam asked me o. She said what are you talking about?? I showed her the score in red ink naaa. πŸ™ˆ That’s how she said “oh no! That’s not her score, that’s the date!” Chei!!!! Chimo!!!! I wanted the ground to open and swallow me!πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

I sha carried my two left legs and left the school. I got home to tell Mr.X, and we couldn’t stop laughing at ourselves!🀣🀣 Immigrant/ expatriate/ African parent drama. πŸ˜†πŸ˜… My child no fit carry last abeg! God forbid!!!

  7. Mummmmmyyyyyyy! As I was reading it, I already knew it was the date.Had a good laugh though! The mistake, the teacher made was that she should have put the year, just so to diffuse any fear

  8. Mrs X. The same thing happened to me!!! The only difference is that it took my less than 1min before I realized that it was the date. I picked up princess F from school a few weeks ago as I looked through her books and classwork paper, I saw 9/16. At first I was shocked and concerned and almost immediately, I realized it was the date!

    1. Hahahahaa!!! My aunty of life! I can imagine the look on your face! Upon Kumon and all the work you do with her!lol!

Aunty, I was slow o. I wish I had figured it out before going to show my naivety in her school. Her teacher still made fun of me last week!
