I need a break!

So o my people, That’s how Mr.X called after work yesterday that he was meeting up with friends. Being the good wife (yes o…in my head, I am very amazing sometimes😝), I said “No probs darling. Have fun!” Deep down in my mind, I was saying “See the man that knows it’s only me at home with two very active children πŸ˜’πŸ™„”. I sha kept my cool and gave myself a pat on the back for being so kind.

Today, by noon, the kids had shown me PEPPER! Bath time was a mess, food time was worse, I had banana rice risk in my hair, little madam had turned me into her bouncy castle, patient and sous chef all at once. I was on the verge of running out of the house, and just standing outside by myself, so that I won’t lose my sanity. I then decided to call hubby to say hello! Wrong move mehhhnnn…. This is how the convo went:

Mrs.X: Hi darling! How you dey?

Mr.X: Hey! (Laughing with someone at the background, and talking a bit loudly because of the noise in the background).

Mrs.X: Seems your day is going really well dear.

Mr.X: Oh yeah love. Out with so so and so so. Catching up over lunch.

Mrs.X: Oh that’s great dear! Awww… Please say hi to them for me. See you later in the evening.

Mr.X: Love you.

So, Mr.X! This one is for you! I know you read this page and pretend not to know when I am writing. Anyway, better hear me! I BEEF you!!! ( I am envious of you). I love your life! I miss having great adult conversations over lunch or in my cubicle. I miss being able to step out of my office to breathe. I miss so so many things.😫 What I meant to say to you when I said “see you later this evening” is “hmm… Better hurry and get your own dose of bouncy castle, and baby carrier/rocker craziness”.

Wow… It’s not even night yet, and my body, every part aches! Even my brain seems tired. While I won’t trade my kids for anything in the world, I would like a teeny weeny break. πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ™ˆ

Anyways, bottom line of this my story, Mr.X, don’t come and tell me you don’t know what I want for my birthday present o. I want a day at the spa, a whole day!!! Even if it’s only sleep I sleep there sef ehn, it will be fine.

My people, I am exhausted!πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

How on earth do women or men who stay at home do it? This isn’t child’s play!πŸ€”πŸ˜©

  1. Birthday yi ma rosy o! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰ I feel you mama. Some days we just need a break. Stumbled on a quote today…’Do what makes your soul happy’ so for your birthday, pick out one thing you really really want to do…then do it!

    1. Hahhahahaaa! Thanks Mandy!😘😘😘

I will surely remember to do what makes my soul happy! God bless you ❀️

  2. Hahahaha. I laughed hard reading this post. I love that it’s not whiny but comic. Thumbs up girl! You are strong and I also think you should go to the Spa and sleep there too.

  3. Very nice, nice way to let Mr. X know that you need a break. By the way every other Mr. ,we need these breaks once in a while. It helps our functioning.
